Five Egg Donors We Can’t Stop Thinking About

After 20,000+ profiles, these are the ones that keep rising to the top

If you read my last post, you know I’ve spent the past few weeks looking through more than 20,000 egg donor profiles… (I know that sounds hyperbolic, but I promise it’s the truth!)

We’re finally getting somewhere though! After all that searching, a handful of women have really started to stand out — and our next step is getting to a final top ten so we can do something we’ve been looking forward to for a while…

Egg Donor Selection Night.

Once we land on ten, we’re gathering our moms and sisters for what we’re officially calling Egg Donor Night. We’ll walk them through the donors we’re considering, share what we’ve learned, and hear what they notice and who they feel drawn to. Ryan and I will obviously make the final decision, but this feels too important to keep entirely inside our own heads. Our families know us incredibly well, and they’re going to be deeply invested in these kids’ lives for decades. We really value their instincts and perspectives, so we’re excited to have them involved!

We’re still working on the finalizing the full ten, but there are five women we’re already pretty confident will be in that conversation. I’m using fake names for all of them — some agencies already assign aliases, others use donor numbers, and I’ve made up names for the rest because it is genuinely much easier to say “Jenn” than “Donor 48172.”
